Anyone else have these pains?

Hi Guys,

Still going strong the pain under the right rib the doctor believes is my gal bladder but i am now getting pain at my back on the right rib.

Also getting pain under the left rib and again to the back behind the rib.

Also get abdominal pain but that could be down to having constipation for a year and pain in chest which is likely down to my barretts.

Starting to worry that my full insides are shutting down now or it could potentially be that they are inflamed and continuing off the drink will return it to normal.

It just shows you that your body must feed of the alcohol after a while.

Continuing to drink will not repair any damage, if any.

I'm no doctor, but one would think more tests would be run instead of just saying he thinks it's this or that. Change doctors if you need, but worrying and making assumptions will only aggravate your symptoms.

Good luck and please do go see a doc!

Your general blood test results were due back a few days ago. What was the outcome?

Self-diagnosing is just going to confuse the situation.

I was riddled with all sorts of pain when I got sober, I'm sure I convinced myself I had lots of stuff.

I had similar pains. I had tests done. Mine was temporary inflammation from years of alcoholism.

On day 20 and i have no more pain. It took a couple weeks for all my abdominal pain to go away.

Glad you went to see a doctor.

I hope you are right the pain seems to be at the liver area and spleen but your right i guess it could be years of abuse.

Doctor is still reviewing them not sure if that is a good or bad sign, should know by 3pm today. Hopefully they will all be good.

I really think a lot of this is down to being constipated for so long, i can't wait until i hopefully get the all clear and i will be doing stuff right from now on.

Tambdy check in and let us know what the Doc says. I've had similar abdominal pains that have gone away after a period of clean living but others are right, you did the right thing getting checked out. Hope all is well. Let us know. Hope you start feeling better soon. Each day off the drink is a day your body can heal.
