90 days

Hi guys,

I cant quite believe it but I'll be 90 days sober tomorrow.

In 3 short months my life has changed more than I ever thought possible. Getting sober is probably the single most important thing I've ever done in my life, Its given me a life.....it saved my life. Its given my mum peace, I cant describe how that single thing makes me feel. I could cry just typing that.

I'm finding new things I love everyday, and new things I hate everyday (I'm sober not a saint!) I guess I just live, I have emotions, I dont think about drink like I did before, like my saviour, my pal I know now its doesnt solve anything. It stunted my growth emotionally, took me away from life and made me doubt and hate myself.

Sober recovery thank you. This site was here morning, noon and middle of the night. It gave me hope when at a time of despair it was all I needed.

I'm going to be a mum too. (Baby Gold, I cant call my baby fool)...me aye! I'm going to give this baby the best life possible by staying sober. I have great support and a lovely boyfriend. I feel really lucky. 3 months ago l'd have never have said those words. I'm lucky. I am.

How awesome and inspiring your news
is here in SR for many who are just walking
in to recovery all the way up to those who
have a number of years sober or clean time. :)

If you think this is tremendous news in recovery
for you now, just wait. There are more spectacular
gifts in recovery awaiting you with each day you
remain sober and incorporating healthy tools of
recovery in your everyday life.

Then each time you share and pass on your
own ESH - experiences, strengths and hopes
of what your life was and is like before, during
and after alcohol to those newcomers in recovery
then those PROMISES as stated in the BB - Big
Book of AA will transpire and come true to enjoy
for yrs to come.

Now you have a purpose in recovery. :)

PASS IT ON..!!!!

Thanks guys.

Morning sickness is not pleasant! Should be called morning, noon and night sickness! Reminds me of being hungover - kinda glad of that wee reminder actually.

Hope everyone is doing good.

Congrats and great news!! Thanks for sharing with all of us. Funny, how rewarding it is when we do the necessary personal work, and one of the great benefits is that we make those around us happy with our decisions. As a mom, I would be as thrilled as your mum with your good progress.

Thanks again for celebrating here.
