I have relapsed
Friend
Ditch the wine if you can and get out of that room.
It has become a prison.
It may take every ounce of courage that you have but get up and walk.
It will have to be done one day.
Don't prolong the misery.
You fell, not failed.
Now start over.
You can.

I am tired. I have been drinking to mask the hurt in my life, My brother and sister are both recovering alcoholics and I have had to spend my life supporting them. They think I am the strong one but I have had enough of being the strong one. My father died recently. He was absolutely the best father ever. When I was 15 I had an argument with him walked out, came back and he had taken a heart attack at the age of 47. Due to the heart attack and lack of oxygen he was totally blind from then until he died. I have never forgiven myself. I have never spoken about how I have felt before. One thing I do know is that I am giving alcohol up for life. I have had Enough.
Macali, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Stopping the drinking is the first step I. Helping yourself to become stronger and to be able to let to of the emotional weight you have been carrying. This will all take time, of course, but putting down the wine is a tremendous first step!

You've gotten some great advice to stop drinking. I KNOW how impossible that can seem when you're in the depths of despair. Please keep posting and reach out to those of us who are sharing your same struggle. We know how it feels, and we are here for you.
Macali, you can find the strength. One hour at a time, release yourself from your addiction prison. It's as simple and as hard as not having that first drink.
Stop now, dont fast forward years from now and become worse off, still drunk, still trying to find the strength you have today. Make the change. Many of us here have similar stories to yours, some not as distressed, some much, much worse. There is a ton of support here, but you have to make the chioce for yourself. Make you better, start today... tomorrow is day two, then day three... day by day, they add up to a better life, trust me.
Best wishes, you can do this and we can help.

When you can, get out of the room for a short walk.
You are doing great.
This time you will stop.
I have been exactly where you are right now.
Make this day the turning point.....
The day you say goodbye to the pain and heartache.
For GOOD!

You can turn this around!!
Alcohol doesn't solve much in life I find, it's a quick short term fix, but in the end the next morning all of the things we've tried to block out are staring us in the face again!!
Hang in there, SR is in your corner!!
