Hi!

I'm a new member and I just wanted to stop by and say hi. I'm really looking forward to make progress in my sobriety since I have failed several times in my attempts to curb my drinking habits.

Any help, advice, encouragement, etc is appreciated.

Thanks!!

Welcome Riig! You can do this. Post often and read others' posts as well and comment when you like. We are all here to support one another.

You can do it. One day at a time.

Hugs to you.

Thanks to everyone. I have been reading a lot of posts in SR today. My commitment is always strong in day 1, what worries me is the future, when I start feeling that maybe I can drink moderately. I know I probably can't but it all looks different when the memory of my last hangover is not fresh. I know in AA they dont worry that much about the future (e.g. one day at a time). However, given that I don't drink everyday and I am more of a weekend binger I HAVE to worry about the future.

Anyways, while reading I had an idea. Helping others might help me stay on track. I am probably at a point where I need more help than I can give. However, just sharing thoughts can help some people. Cecilia said to post often and I intend to do that. I hope I won't fall again, but either good or bad news, I will share with you the highlights of this new journey.

Thanks you all!
