Back again after 4 months sobriety
Hello,
I just thought I would check in, had a relapse the past few months and ready to try again. I've got 4 days under my belt.
I've been struggling with a lot of changes lately. I just started grad school at a very competitive and prestigious school. Lately I've been struggling with depression that seems to be stemming from feeling like I don't belong here, everyone here is smarter than me, and I'm basically doomed to fail. My previous kick wasn't nearly as bad depression wise, but I guess it just comes from the different circumstances.
I know others have it a lot worse off than me, but it's a special nasty kind of feeling when you constantly feel stupid.
I don't want to rant, so I just thought I would check back in. Thanks everyone.

Welcome back!!
I posted this in another thread, try to remember life continues when sober, the good, the bad, and the worst. You are worth all the good that's happening, you are at a prestigious grad school, because you deserve it. Value yourself, live life to the fullest.

Grad school is tough, but it's even tougher if you're trying to play catch up from drinking, hangovers etc.
I think everyone in grad school has that moment of doubt - but they don't let just anyone in
You're there on your merits - don't forget that
Try to get some balance in your life too - work hard, certainly...but also deliberately make time for lesiure, exercise and the occasional night of goofing off and watching TV where you can
