Back again

Afternoon everyone.

First time on here for 18 months. Thats the length of time since I last started drinking again. So after 18 months drunk, its time to try being sober again.

Interesting 18 months too - included a divorce. Starting to stop is the hardest thing I find - so far not at the end of day 1..........wish me luck lol

Welcome back pyjamarama!!

What's the plan moving forward, if sheer willpower is doing the job, it might be time for a new approach!!

You can do this!!

"Make a plan"- isn't that perfect? So simple. You make a plan and you stick to it. I can't remember who said this but they told me every millionaire in the world had two mindsets, one of where they would be, and another of what they needed to do today. Like, if you think about the big picture it is too much for anybody, I'm sure Dee didn't think of all the cravings and all the pain and all the sacrifice all at once. That would be too much, it's too much for anybody.

So you have one idea in your head where you can be- the goal. But in real terms you don't drink today, that's your sole goal. Then tomorrow you do it again, until you've achieved something amazing.

Now I don't want to be a millionaire (Seriously, the best things in life aren't free, but they are cheap), but thinking this way has helped me through me early recovery.

Much love

Tom.

Make some changes to your lifestyle. Change your routine. Try something you haven't tried before. Just for today, stay sober.
