Had a lovely picnic in the park with a group of friends who don't drink very much. I would have gone to the picnic anyhow, but I would have either a) secretly gotten a bit drunk prior so that I could nurse one glass of wine during, b) brought a bottle of wine and embarrassed myself by drinking the whole thing, or c) had one glass of wine, then left soon after to keep drinking by myself.

Ahhh, so much better this way. Lovely to show up, see that they only had one bottle of wine, and NOT have a panic attack.

Well it 's morning here, but yesterday I went to the American Museum at Bath, and was struck to the heart by a copy of a sculpture there called "Appeal the the Great Spirit". You US folk will know what that is already, and the history of it, but for my UK friends, it's a Native American sitting on a horse with his arms out towards the sky, just saying "great spirit, help me now"

If I had been hungover, I would have walked past it without a second thought, and a pounding head.

Also had a lunch which tasted fantastic, and the friend I was with told me how much better I look and how much weight I've lost GOOD DAY lol

What a powerful sculpture, Janie! Thanks for sharing the pic.

Today, I took my niece and nephew to the park to sprinkle wildflower seeds for next spring. It was a beautiful day.

That pie sounds divine! I did housework, shopped and just finished a lovely dinner. It's so nice to just enjoy dinner with my family instead of stressing that the food was going to kill my buzz and I'd have to go out yet again to get more wine.

Church with the family, support life group and serving in a class of 4 yr olds. I didn't feel like a big fat hypocrite with a hangover. I will not give in again to this weak flesh

Speaking of pie, I made peanut butter cheesecake pie and OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOh MY GOSH! So so good

Went to church, sang in the choir, had lunch with a friend, took a nap, walked the dog, made an apple pie. Good to be sober!

It's still night but of course I can't sleep because I'm in withdrawal. So instead of panicking I signed up here

Yesterday I backed the van out of the garage with the hatch up and shattered the back glass. Can't afford $250 right now. All next week to be very cold. I gorilla taped some 4 mil plastic over hole so we should be fine for a bit. 2 girls' birthdays in a week and 2 major holidays coming. I'll be looking for some extra work as of today. It was a very careless oversight but I'm not gonna drink over it.
