The Proof is in the Pudding!!

Around this time last year, my doctor called me about my blood results, particularly worried about my triglycerides. They were 176. I was still drinking a lot of wine back then.

Well, in a couple of weeks I will be celebrating my one year anniversary of sobriety and my doctor just called me with this year's blood results. The triglycerides number is 115.

Need I say more??

That's a great benifit of just not drinking, and it gets better and better.

One year!!! Wow! I know we're never "home free" from it but sounds like you've put alcoholism in its place. Well done

You have done an amazing job thus far at turning your life around. How great is it that you have stopped the cycle? I thought of you as I was dealing with my active alcoholic mother the other day. Just how severe the denial is. Sad really. Well, at least our kids won't be writing this one day:-)
