6 months today feeling ok
 

It seems like my AV is back With a vengeance. We had people over in our cabin this weekend and both nights they drank. I felt strong but I did have drinking dreams and woke up scared. I did think a lot about booze. Things like "nobody will be able to tell if you have a couple" or "just have two drinks and stop". We all know how that works. So I stayed strong and I am now I'm feeling good about it. 6 months woo hoo!!!

Inspirational post for me! Needed to read this today......A true test has not yet come. One wedding reception, but I am otherwise an ostrich. Wife doesn't drink and I have severed relationships with drunk "friends" at this point.

But, I know I am not an island.
You've helped many(me too) with this timely, heartfelt experience.

Congrats! The difference between my AV at 6 months and now at almost 11 months has been remarkable. A lot of internal stuff came flowing to the surface, overwhelmingly at times, but working through it and staying the course has been so good for my growth. It's a wild ride but it's worth it!
