Been reading these forums for years. I've got a 35 year love affair with alcohol, peppered with a few very short breakups. I don't drink like I did in my early 20s, but I still find that I like a couple of glasses of wine a night, and as I get older, it doesn't seem to be doing my health any good.
Time for me to become an active participant in a better way, rather than be an outsider looking in.

Congratulations to both of you on day one.
If you think you have a problem with alcohol, you probably do.
I had a long romance with alcohol, too, until it became my worst enemy. It's complete abstinence for me. Never saw the point of a couple of drinks. I drank to get drunk.
