rang doc booked another apt

1 pharmacy listened as i said ive just finished anti biotics given by my doc for my ear but they didnt work she replied im surprised they didnt give you anti biotics first i thanked her and left

got home thinking like what can i do i wont get another doc apt today

the last pharmacy i rang had the special eardrops

had to get a cab

got home around hour ago on my own tonight

That's a bummer, glad you were able to finally get the eardrops. I haven't had one for years but as a child I had multiple ear infections that even cause a couple of ruptured ear drums and permanent hearing loss as a result. It was no fun, hope you get better soon.

I have never had an ear infection but once had an earache and it hurt like crazy. I can't imagine and infection. Glad to hear you found the drops.

Ugh....why in God's name don't they prescribe the drops first?? My children both get ear infections sometimes. They always want to give them oral antibiotics or nothing at all instead of the ear drops which work so good! They provide relief for my kids every time right away. Hoard those drops!!!!

Ear drops work - I have kids. Doctor prescribes both at the same time. Antibiotics are there to help fight the infection but do nothing to help with the immediate pain. Sorry you had to go through that - if your ear starts ringing don't answer it.

I have occasional ear infections. They freakin hurt!

Something warm usually helps, but until the fluid is out it's painful.

Hope you feel better soon

You're right SW, perseverance is the answer and I'm glad you stuck with the nuisances involved in getting your ear taken care of.

Feel better soon.

If you have reoccurring ear problems I would request ENT consult.
