Thanks all - I'm hoping one of the volunteer locations I applied to contacts me soon. Especially the local animal shelter where I adopted my kitty...I would love to work with the animals and I don't mind if I just start with cleanup.
In the meantime I'm going to look for some other paces.
Trach - to be honest, I'm sure my own apartment could use some deep scrubbing that would take up most of a day.
Ruby - Ha, you sound like some of my others friends. Yea, I know having an evening to myself is not something to complain about...and usually I do appreciate it!
