Hi, I'm new here. Does anyone....

Hello, I am new here. I am currently on my 6th day of sobriety from alcohol. The 1st 3 days was the worst with withdrawal. I started Campral yesterday & feel pretty great today. I was curious if anyone else has taken Campral & how did it work for you? Any side effects that you've personally had?

This is not my first time quitting alcohol. The first time I had DT's so bad that it almost killed me. I was in the hospital for 21 days. I took Campral then & it did not seem to work this well but I was a lot worse then. Any advice is helpful. Thank you!

Welcome to the forum. I don't know anything about campral but it's great your quitting. I was a mess this time last year and this site saved me. Stick around and keep reading and posting. All the best

My wife took Campral several years ago. It seemed to work until she stopped taking it. But she had not made changes in her life towards recovery, so she relapsed.

I'm on Campral. Like a couple said above, "I don't know if it does anything/works at all, but then again... I haven't drank."

I posted about this a month ago as well (same question, pretty much). Got the same answers. I figure it's either working, or it (at worst) isn't NOT working, if that makes sense.

As far as side effects, it has none/virtually none to speak of, either from personal experience or from its listed side effects on the FDA site, Wiki, or it's own website.

Congrats on 6 days, girl!

Thank you! Felt like I wasn't going to make it through day one. Rough stuff! But I am feeling so much better. I know it's a long road ahead but I am willing to fight for it.
