60 Days.

At 60 days now. I want to offer a serious thank you to the people on this site for their encouragement, wise words, support and condolences (my dog passed Friday) as I traveled my journey to the most sober time I have had since 1988. I am grateful and humbled to be in the company of so many smart and determined people.

Good times and bad, I'm here, feeling all of them.

Onward.

Welcome to the land of the living, VikingGF. I was sorry to hear about your dog, I guess you did the last best thing you could for your companion. And you honored your memories by willingly feeling the loss and grief. That is brave, that takes courage. You are brave, you must realize that this feeling and grieving is part of that journey you started two months ago, stepping out into the abyss. You are staying the course. Well done.

Great job VG! I lost a pet recently to harsh circumstances, unfortunately I was drinking, a boatload. So glad you are not drinking, so awesome. Also, your Elaine Stritch quote is fantastic!
