2 weeks sober.
2 weeks sober.
Today makes 2 weeks sober. Here's a rundown of what has helped me.
1. SR posting/interaction daily
2. Taking vitamins/nutritious foods and ALOT of water daily.
3. Going to AA meetings ( I'm not vocal but I go to listen..and on more than one occasion I've heard what I needed to hear that day)
4. Read the book under the influence (opened my eyes to a few things)
5. Seeing a counsellor every 2 weeks
6. Attending aftercare sessions once a week ( I'm recently out of rehab )
7. Setting attainable goals at work daily ( simple easy to attain)
8. Reading the big book daily ( 20 pages )
9. Setting aside time to have fun ( life isn't meant to be so hard/cold )
10. Each day upon waking feeling BETTER and realizing drinking will undo ALL the progress being made.
11. Removing access to my $$ ( money,debit,credit)
12. Not suppressing emotions allowing myself to feel them...not running from them...this has been difficult I'm not going to lie.
We are put on this earth to help each other...and for this I am grateful. I can't defeat this problem on my own...but together we can.
Thank you SR. I wish you all a safe and sober day.
Stay vigilant friends. If you need help all we need to do is ask.
