so i know i need to stop. but of course it would be sooo much easier if i had a few drinks on my "last day". not too many to make me hungover ... just enough.
then i wake up and think ... this hangover really sucks. I'll try it again.

yeah...I think most of us want the way of least pain...but I don't really think there's any shortcuts dasautobatgirl.
Withdrawal is awful for a reason...we just often forget those reasons.
The best scenario would be you tipping out what you have and not buying anymore, going to bed and looking at tomorrow as a fresh new, sober day

There was no way to say a pleasant goodbye to alcohol for me either. I used to picture some symbolic last hurrah, one last night of indulgence, but that turned into every night for me. My last drink wasn't planned. I was just too sick to continue. Now is the time to say farewell. There will never be an easier time. You can do this.
Tomorrow might be rough but let it be your last day one. I enjoyed reminding myself that I would never have to feel that way again. It truly does get a little itty bit better each day. Day two is easier than day one. When I finally was gone I utilized the "just for today/one day at a time" tool and it has helped me immensely.
