Small fright

I know this sounds a bit silly but I really just thought id literally lost my dog!

I originally thought he was in the garden I went out to check for him he wasn't there, I then searched every single room of the house looking for him and NOTHING, I called '' walkies '' and nothing now I went into a complete frenzy thinking someone had taking him from the garden whilst I was upstairs ( dog thieves are rife in my area ) ANYWAYS the little begger was actually in the kitchen under the table chewing his bone silently!

Sounds stupid I know but my heart is STILL racing hands shaking my head is thumping, I literally thought the worse, anxiety levels off the charts right now and don't feel well from that little fright I had!

Nearly ran my backside down the shops to get some voddie, stupid thinking and I dismissed that idea right away!

Arrgggggg just sharing gang, a bit of much needed venting there!

I've had that exact same panic, think my golden is in the backyard, go to let her in, run around frantically calling her...all the while she's knocked behind the couch, blissfully unaware of all the commotion! lol

Good choice on not reaching for the bottle! Celebrate that victory with your pooch!

I'm so glad you found your dog, safe and sound. It's a scary situation to be in.

But, you got through it, sober and your dog is fine. He was just busy at the moment and didn't feel the need to answer you.

I totally understand. The minute I can't find one of my furry purries, I start to freak out. I'm so HAPPY he was safe and sound, under the table, watching and wondering why you were running around like a crazy person.

Oh, I understand your panic! We have four cats and now two dogs. I sometimes peek out the window (ok, I peek out the window multiple times per day) to check on the cats. And I come running whenever the dogs are coughing, making odd noises, or are too silent. Lol! My mind runs wild with possibilities of things that could hurt them.

Glad your dog is safe and sound

Oh no!!! Scary indeed.

Once I had a repair person come unexpectedly come into my condo when I wasn't home to look for a leak someone saw in a different part of the bldg. He was still there when I got back and I couldn't find my kitty anywhere! I was sure he had snuck out when the guy was going in and out. The repair was this really tough looking ex-military dude, with tattoos all over his arms...and when i said I cldnt find my cat, he was like "oh no! We gotta find him! I have a little guy myself..I cldn't live with myself if something happened to him!" Ha...it was so cute/unexpected. So we looked for a good 20 mins and finally we found kitty...on TOP of the refrigerator...ha. Just chilling up there like...what's up guys? Too funny.

Anyways, glad your dog was safe!
