New from Ireland
I am 40 years old now and gave up drinking when I was 26. I had 5 years of great sobriety and picked it up again when I was 31. For the last 10 years I have been on and off the drink but in last 6 years have not managed more than a couple of days. I am at my wits end.
Hi Evelyn!
Welcome and hugs.
I am back to a few days after ten years of sobriety and a handful of months trying to make alcohol work for me again... it doesn't. How did you get sober before? How did you feel?

I made the decision my self the first time around, it was actaully a very simple process, I told my family and checked into Rehad and that was that. Since I started drinking again, I know I should stop and deep inside I want to but I feel that the people in my life such as family and husband are (not sure how to express it) but tell me what to do, so this is making it more difficult for me to stop.
