Ah...2 weeks
I don't post much but I am constantly here reading and learning.
I don't write things well, so I will just stumble through this.
Today I have made it 2 weeks. I started here in June, relapsed, lost my job, and never thought I would make it past day 2 ever again.
Don't really know what finally clicked inside of me, but I guess I finally got to the point where I had just had enough. It was so exhausting to keep up with all of the BS I was putting myself through trying to "hide" my drinking. Not to mention feeling like total crap day in and day out.
I struggle with other issues as well, but am learning to deal with those one day at a time without self-medicating. Drinking just made everything worse.
I have been truly inspired by some of your stories. I don't think I could have made it these last 2 weeks without being on here and learning that I am not alone in this.
I want to welcome all of the new people that join here daily. You have come to a great place. Read everything and post alot
As for a plan (because I know you are going to ask ) I am taking bits and pieces from a variety of things right now. I am learning that by having many tools, you can continue to fight.
Thank you for being there and for your continued support. I am very glad I found this site. This is the one place I can go where people do not judge...they understand.
