Help!

Just drank a glass of NA wine. Didn't think it would bother me since I drink kombucha regularly and it doesn't trigger anything but it actually tasted like wine and made me want to go drink more.. Like for real. I'm so tempted right now. I just made it a week in Vegas without drinking and here I am sitting and drinking NA wine and trying to remind myself why I quit! I need some support!

Good job to come here first! SR has helped me so much. I made a list of reasons I quit, and a list of all I have to gain. Hang tough!

Hi 83 mama - what helped you with cravings in the past?

did any of these things help?

http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...-cravings.html

The main thing is to not panic and realise cravings do not last forever.
You can do this

(and stay off that NA wine)

D

I'll never mess with that stuff! I had 15!!! Yes 15 years of sobriety. I bought N/A wine and my guy bought the real deal. I mixed a little bit of his into mine and that was all it took. I drank for the next 15 years until recently and now at 65 it's taken it's toll. It's nothing to play around with and neither is your sobriety. Pour it out and move on.

If I were to taste anything that tasted like wine it would drive me absolutely crazy. I have to stay far, far away from anything that tastes like booze.

Great story old soul. That sums it up. Just that one little thing and its game over. One beer and my av starts right back up. That scares the he** out of me.

Haha, I read that as Narcotics Anonymous wine before I figured out it meant non alcoholic. I was like, "they have their own wine???"

I had a friend who tried drinking NA beer and that just made him crave the real thing, I mean it wasn't the taste we drank really hey. I heard somebody say that only non-alcoholics should drink non-alcohol beer etc, I tend to agree.

Those tips Dee posted up there are great, I'd probably get in bed early and relax also. You can get through this day sober no problem mama, I'm praying for you.
