Sober

I can't speak to much, but I can speak to this I am sober 3 weeks gambling, 2 weeks alcohol, and 6 days cigarettes, to boot I've reduced my caffeine intake by half. I have mental issues, on Saturday I got bull headed and went med free and that ended in disaster, but overall I am doing this.

Never thought I could go sober, thought I was doomed to a life of non sobriety, but here I am being sober. This feels so damn good, I am doing AA once a day, and just plugging along. I've decided the steps aren't my thing, but I go to meetings daily.

What I've learned is all addiction is tied to one another. For me gambling meant smoking and drinking, drinking meant smoking and gambling, smoking meant drinking and gambling get the point.

I know many of you don't gamble, but I know of you do smoke. Try to reduce your smoking, I guarantee it will help with alcohol cravings overall. Not a doctor, but smoking is a CNS stimulant alcohol is a CNS depressant the two combined act in a strage way on the brain I've read. They are absolutely interrelated from a cognitive standpoint.

My 2 cents, but I am get along great without these habits, tasting things, and becoming less dependent daily. Good day folks, wish you well friends.

Oh yes. I needed to buy that last bottle of wine to drink with the half pack of cigs I had left over, or needed to buy a pack of cigs to go with the rest of that wine I had left. It was always "to finish them all off then I would quit". It never worked!

Some don't understand gambling, few understand the addiction, I've lost 14k in a day and been up 15k a day, it owns the soul. Its a high like no other high in one day you can make what you make in half year in a day. However, I've always and I a mean always put it all back. In the overall game I am down close to 200k, sad but true if you have gambling issues folks and want to talk I am an open ear. Thank sober wolf noted.... Love you brother.

I worked in a big casino in Nevada for several years. The gambling thing is really bad.

They all work on the brain's reward system. Very interrelated.

Great job in getting out of all of them. It will lead to a better life for you and your family.
