It's weird - I've had a few lurkers privately message saying they read my stories and have given some hope...THAT is amazing to me. I never knew when I joined, that maybe, my story could make someone think twice about drinking, or drinking AND driving...that someone in trouble with the law who is feeling pretty defeated..can get past it with hard work, support and determination. That makes all of this worthwhile. If my story can help even one person from ending up where I did, than I am feeling blessed.

the self-awareness thing is a trip, let me tell you. LOL.
Getting to know yourself at 37 is a wild ride. I'm loving it.

It has been with admiration, interest and absolute pleasure that I have shared this sober journey with you. You are up the road just a wee bit from me...but I am so glad you're here breaking trail for myself and so many others.

There are so many things I could say but I'm gonna settle on....

Yep, I totally agree....girlfriend's got moxie for reals.

I wish we all lived in the same place and could be sober friends in real life

There's been a few people on this board that I have "clicked" with or have just read posts that resonated SO much with me and have thought "man, why can't we be geographically closer so we could meet for a tea?!"
