Hi guys,
Well here I am, I guess I realised I was an alcoholic awhile ago and finally had enough on the 30th of August and went sober.....but relapsed this weekend. I'm pretty angry with myself; I had seven days under my belt and just fell. But, I'm dusting myself off and starting again because although it was the hardest week of my life, the feeling of waking up guilt free was unbelievable.
Thanks for being here

Welcome to SR Treadstone.
Sometimes it takes a few tries. It sounds like you really enjoyed those 7 sober days - & you can get that feeling back for good. We're glad you're here with us - this is a supportive & friendly place.

Hello and welcome.
Isn't it wonderful to wake up guilt free?
I try to remember the day after a bender and the fear, remorse anxiety and guilt. This helps keep me sober.
Good job on seven days. I tried many times and failed. Just remember , you never have to drink again.
Best to you.

Hi Treadstone,
Welcome to SR. For me, it helped to not think I was "Starting all over" after a slip-up. You had a solid week and noticed some benefits, right? So it wasn't a waste and you'll just keep moving forward. Definitely took me a few times before I got more than a week or 10 days under my belt.
All the best!
