Good for you, Tic! I think you will find that if you keep going to meeting, you will soon make some new friends with the same goal you have... to stay sober. The first meeting is the hardest and you are past that now.
I would suggest that you attend a Chip Meeting and feel the positive energy and love in the room when someone picks up a chip. At my fellowship Chips are given out every friday night with the last friday of the month being the "Heavy Medal" meeting for folks with 1 year or more of sobriety.
I like it so much that I consider those meetings my home group and I'm attending one tonight.

Thanks Tic for recommending I read this thread. I have been online looking up ASAP groups around me. . I am a introvert so I am waiting for my sister to come back from her honeymoon because she has promised to be at my side if I decide to attend a meeting.
