What kindness are you extending to yourself today?
What are you doing today to treat yourself well?
I bought fuzzy socks on my lunch break because the nights are getting chilly. I'll wear them tonight when I curl up with my book to do some "serious" reading.

Ohh OOOH, I LOVE this topic!!! I cooked lunch just for myself today. I had similar thoughts about treating myself with love and kindness. For example, I would never let my kids eat the way I do, picking up scraps here and there. I prepared lunch just for myself today, sat down and enjoyed every part of it. And then had some coffee and dessert.

I'm starting the Whole 30 challenge, which basically means cutting out sugar, salt, pasta, bread -- all grains, actually -- legumes, dairy, alcohol, and preservatives for thirty days. Thirty days is nothing in the grand scheme of things. I've almost got thirty days free from alcohol, and I feel great. Losing weight is a huge priority for me because my big belly is a direct result of my drinking. I can't wait to look at myself and not see the effects of my bad decisions.

I love socks. I'm almost 38 and still wear socks a 4 yr old will wear 
and I will be buried in my converse. with funky socks of course....bit I digress...
I'm working til 7pm and then going home to work out and soak in a bath and pamper my poor skin that is breaking out like 14 all over again. I have a few books I've put on hold so will pick one up and have an early night.

I think I'm going to change the name of this thread to "share pictures of stuff other people will covet".

I saw my old employer today and had a brief conversation with him. It was one of those moments that I've imagined for a while, and then it actually happened. It was quite a pleasant surprise. Not at all awkward.
The kindness I'm extending myself today is being mindful and aware of the inner dialogue going on in my brain after the conversation, noticing anything negative, and noticing the replaying of the conversation... then allowing myself to see the positives, and stopping the replay. Just letting that conversation stay in the past
I prefer, these days, to live in the present, and that is a great compassion I am extending to myself.
