Evening munchies!

I think I have a new craving that's taking the place of evening drinking -- FOOD. Goodness gracious, I feel like I could keep eating all night.

On the positive side, I'm heading toward the end of three weeks sober which makes me very, very happy.

I also got a clean bill of health from the doctor on Monday, everything came back well within normal levels which was a true relief.

I hope everyone is doing well! <3

JC,

Fantastic job on the three weeks! Those are definitely the toughest. I've also been an eating machine since I stopped drinking. Maybe it's time to add exercise to the mix! Oh, and I've still lost some weight even with stuffing my face everyday. Goodbye booze calories!

I figure a bag of Doritos once every week is still much better than god know how many empty calories from my bottles of wine consumption.

Me too! Ah it feels good to be HUMAN again
This weekend I made a container full of fresh salsa. It's all gone! The old me would have picked up the processed junk and anything else processed or fried I could find to get through a hangover.
The new me wants and craves to be healthy and now I enjoy eating this way. Sobriety rocks.

Thanks all! Its definitely had its ups and downs but I think I'm decidedly happier snacking at night than boozing away the twilight hours!

I've developed the oddest craving for ice cream which I so rarely eat lately, too.

Ditto on the food cravings. I've never been a big eater of sweets but at three weeks sober I want to eat all of them. It hits around dinner time which was my drinking startup time for many years. Hopefully it will pass but for now I'm not going to beat myself up about it.

i'm four and a half months sober and the eating has become a bad habit. i dread to think but i must have gained 30 pounds since i quit drinking and i wasn't skinny to begin with.

i can't seem to find the 'push' for me to sort my eating out. help!
