Congrats. Detoxing is crappy. I'm doing that now. Tools that have actually worked for me is this site, exercise, and hanging out with family.
HALT = Hungry Angry Lonely Tired. For some reason this stuck from AA. It seemed like one of these was the reason I drank.
This time it was the A. So we detox again and kick ass!

We are all different in this respect, but I found it helpful to walk outdoors in order to fight urges to drink during the first few months.
Simply recognizing that urges usually only last a few minutes was also helpful.
The Rational Recovery book has lots of good coping strategies as well.
