Well.... Whaddya know?

I had a pretty incredible day. It was back to school. Second grade and kindergarten for my daughters. It was beautiful end to end. We went to the beach for the sunrise and picked rocks for the teachers, we laughed and had a ball. After school we want back to the beach and swam and jumped off the rocks.

It was a glorious sunny day with my girls and my lady. Is was just an ordinary beautiful day doing ordinary things and experiencing them fully, deeply.

248 days, and it just keeps getting better.

Keep at it, friends.... Life Is Good.

And it keeps getting better. If life wasn't so much better in recovery there would be no reason to stay sober

What a lovely day, thanks for sharing it with us.

That sounds like a wonderful day, ordinary and yet special.

Very nice! What is it about being outside, with nature? And animals? Getting a daily dose of fresh air and exercise really seems to make a huge difference in my happiness.

FreeOwl - It's wonderful to know you're feeling good and treasuring your sobriety. Me too. :)

Thanks, all....

Also; I went to the gym yesterday and for the first time in quite a long time, it really, REALLY felt like I'd turned the corner.

I hit some new strength levels since re-entering sobriety and managed a hard and heavy workout without any fatigue. I felt strong and solid the whole time.... like I'm finally back on track to the sort of shape I'd gotten in when I really hit sobriety hard for almost 6 months and focused relentlessly on fitness.

At 41 - I'm looking at it like this; I have the rest of this decade to establish a powerful and strong foundation for my 50's, 60's and 70's to remain fit, healthy, active decades.....

In the overall balance of my lifespan.... there is a cherished short time remaining. I'm not going to get all glum about it, instead, I'm going to make it all I can.

:)
