what do you want from being sober
Aint it the truth. I lost count of how many times, during my hard drinking years I would wake up
1. With a horrible hangover
2. Try to remember what happened the night before
3. Piece together some random moments, then realize what an ass I had
of myself.
4. Wonder where the knot on my head had come from.
Don't miss any of that. AT ALL. Never goin down that road again.

All of the above primarily but primarily to be a better father, husband and person not using alcohol as a crutch to deal with lifes difficulties.
But also to make restitution for those I have illed

Be true, healthy, peaceful, present, strong.
Let go of the past and Stop sabotaging the future.
Allow love and spirituality to help me be the best that I can be for those I love and for myself.
Never ever wake up hungover, trying to remember, impatient with my child, full of regrets and shame.
Thank you for asking soberwolf.

I want to be able to drive home safely every night... not have to thank God every morning that my car isn't crashed and that I didn't kill anyone. Excited to not have to clean up after myself every morning... no bottles, no spills, no drunk cooking projects, no vomit... And full days of productivity. No more hangovers. Not blowing 200 dollars a week at the bar. Being able to take medication without fear of a reaction. These sound superficial right now. I'm sure Ill get more out of sobriety once I experience more of it.
