Hey everybody! I am on day 7 and I feel wonderful. I am looking forward to my AA meeting tomorrow. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else has or had weird dreams about using. I have been sleeping OK (sober), but I have intense dreams where I am using. I say intense because when I wake up I feel like I actually did use for a few seconds until the fog clears and I realize it was a dream. It kind of freaks me out at first. Anyone else experience this?

Congrats on a week! Yes, dreams of drinking/using are very common after quitting. They do lessen in intensity and frequency over time though, keep up the good work.

Yes, I have the occasional dream about drinking. In my dreams, I am upset that I have drank which, when awake, is reassuring to me. If I was drinking and having a grand ole time in my dream, I would be concerned that maybe my program wasn't adequate.

No doubt. I still occasionally have drinking dreams but lately - at slightly less than 90 days, I have started to have dreams about some of the people in my AA group. Nothing about drinking though, just weird random stuff.

I read one time about dreams that it's like a computer clearing cache. Make senses.......
But, yea it's a little freaky.

good on ya for 7 days and hittin a meeting!
them dreams used to drive me nuts!! wakin up after one and not knowin where I was only to find out I was in my own bed (where I actually layed down the night before) was reeeeeally........sumthin not fun! I was thinkin I did some irreversible brain damage.
goin to meetings and mentioning it, I was rather relieved to hear it wasn't something unigue.

and they did subside as time went on. I still get em every now and them, but today I can say thank God they are only dreams.
