Weasel? Did you not see me trying to pass the DJ baton earlier? I've got 24 hours before I am gone for the weekend. Someone has to step up!

Sorry Trach.... But cut me some slack... I was reading with one eye open yet.

Good for you on the trip. Enjoy!

shove over guys! one more joining the bus!

first long weekend since April that I am not in jail so get to enjoy a blessed THREE days off!!! yipppppppppee. I don't have much planned.
Gym after work tomorrow. Possible cottage day on Saturday where my mom is staying, weather permitting.
Sunday and Monday are still "open" but I have zero urge to drink.
It's going to feel great just being able to enjoy whatever the day brings and NOT be trashed on my couch feeling like a huge pile of p00p. Normally, by the Tuesday, I'd be feeling like death warmed over.

*pinky swears with this thread*

I'm in for the long weekend. Missed the last two, not because I fell off the bus, but because my beloved Charlee had some pretty serious health issues that involved emergency surgery and quite a bit of worry. Life at the same time decided throw in a few extra stresses like issues with our septic system, a washer that stopped working and yesterday, my new 8 month old car left me sitting on the side of the road with transmissions problems. None of this has defeated me, but my ice cream consumption is at an all time high...lol.

The good news is that Charlee is on the mend and the tumors on his spleen that ruptured turned out to be benign. So, I have a lot to be grateful for and am hitting the weekend with renewed determination to face life sober no matter what it throws at me. There is no coincidence that the reason I had money to even pay for emergency surgery for Charlee is 100% because I no longer waste money on wine.

Good to be back with you, friends. Look forward to our weekend ride.

Good morning. So busy here already! I went to bed relatively early. Work was busy but a boss said something that left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm looking forward to a three day weekend away from work and my kitchen cabinet delivery on Saturday. Yay!

I can't remember the last sober Labor Day weekend I spent. I relapsed before Labor Day last year after a sober summer. Of course, I drank every weekend so Labor Day wasn't any different.

There is a cook out at a nearby AA club where I sometimes attend meetings. That's on Saturday and I will go if the cabinets have arrived. No other plans other than getting the last minute stuff needed for the kids return to school on sept.2.

Son is bugging me by laying on top of the pad so I will check in later. Have a great day all!

I'm almost late to the party!

I am in!

Father-in-law coming tonight. He's a wino, so there will be wine in the house while he is here. He is staying for like 10 days, I think. I won't have trouble not drinking while he is here, but that AV will surely fire up as soon as he leaves. Time to make a plan for that.

3 days off this weekend. I should build something.

Hey justMe... Care to share what new tools you have? Maybe we can pick one or two up we did not know we needed. I mean if you feel like sharing that. Otherwise... Welcome on the bus. Plenty of seats.

I will join the bus!! Trouble with labor day weekend here in Texas is that it's too darn hot to garden, too hot to hike or bicycle, too hot to take the dog to dog park, really too hot to do anything outside except go to the pool. 100 degrees is harsh. But, my husband and I can get on the motorcycle early in the morning and go to the pool.

High school football game tomorrow night. Hope none of the players drops from heat stroke. Seriously.

Hi Weekenders ,
showing the new me at work the ropes and pointing out whatever pitfalls i fell into over time …
Freelance next week with no plan and no jobs …

Also have a cold hanging round , which developed last night so i'm a bit Blah !

Looking up which mobile phone will suit my needs as a self employed and sending some requests for quotes to tidy up a few odds and ends for the firm ..

Freedom sometime tomorrow afternoon , Then what … Errk !

Definitely in!

Don't even remember last Labor Day.

This one, i'll spend deep sea fishing in the Gulf of Mexico with my son; luckily some friends invited us. I'm not good at fishing but even at 41 can still learn a few things... Although my wife begs to differ since apparently I still don't know where the laundry hamper is.

Sunday and Monday, beach time, grilling and fun with the whole family. Looking forward to sober fun this go around!

Watching COLLEGE FOOTBALL; Tennessee fan in particular.

Stay strong everyone, and happy Labor Day to those here in the US; happy weekend to everyone else!
