Well, I finally bit the bullet and took suggestions on getting a different sponsor. I love the woman that has been my sponsor for so long, but it's just a better fit as friends. The other day we met, and I was catching her up on everything going on, and she said let's just stic to recovery. Well--- all of this other stuff going on is what is holding my recovery back. So that was kind of a slap on the face. So last night I went to a meeting and asked another girl I know, who had very similar drinking patterns to mine, and she said yes! Thankfully!!!!!! So today is a day 2, and I have a new outlook. Just wanted to share.

Update- I talked with my previous sponsor and told her that I needed to do something different and I am going to work with this other girl. She said, I think you two are the perfect fit and she told me she was happy and gave me her blessing. Man, my fear was just an illusion. I'm glad I promptly walked thru that. Now onward and upward.
