110 days sober and a new dawn!
 

110 days ago I started drinking and 24 hours later I had consumed 2 1.75 liters of vodka and 1.75 liters of tequila...almost entirely by myself! In the process I did and said some very stupid stuff, as usual! At dawn I managed to walk to the woods and watch the sunrise which was my normal routine. I took the picture at the top that day and looking in my eyes I can see just how lost I truly was. That's what the disease of addiction does, it makes you lose yourself! After that picture I actually drank 4-6 more beer and that was the last time I ever drank. That was my bottom and I sought the help I needed to save my life and my family!

This morning I wen't back to the same spot and watched the sunrise for the first time since that day. I sat there with a heart full of gratitude. I took the picture on bottom this morning and I meditated on how blessed I am that the program of AA and God has not just given me my life back, but has given me a new, better life!

There is hope for those who suffer.

Congratulation on your success Ultradad. I have so much respect for you to do this for you and your family. So many times it ruins families. I know if my Dad chose to confront his addiction my family would still be together. Your definetly livimg up to your name! Keep it up and amazing work!
