Off for a week away with my parents, husband and 2 kids. Would usually have involved being drunk or hungover most of the time as my husband and dad are big drinkers. They know I have given up and I know they won't presurise me to drink though.

My mum doesn't drink she gave up years ago due to medication, but she was a big drinker before that. If I'm tempted to drink going to go off with my mum and the kids and do something fun that doesn't involve drinking.

Kind of scared as there is no WiFi so won't be able to get on here and I've found this site an amazing help.

Hoping to be reporting back in a week with many more sober days under my belt

Sounds like you have a plan and some support.

Enjoy your trip. It will be so much more fun sober and you will have memories to look back on.

Are you able to drop into a cafe or a McD's for some wifi and let us know how you are doing?
