Dammit!!
Dammit!!
Yesterday would have marked six weeks of sobriety for me.
Guess what? I drank on Saturday night. Not a whole bunch, but I still drank. I used the ongoing divorce process as an excuse.
Starting the climb back up the hill again...

Sorry to hear you drank JD, but glad to see you are back. While you shouldn't dwell on the past, take a serious look at what you could have done ( and what you can do moving forward ) to keep from using things as an excuse to drink. The only way sobriety works is if you accept that there is never any excuse good enough to even take one sip.

JD, dont allow the slip to keep you down or an excuse to go ahead and drink again!! Pick yourself up and dust yourself off and keep on keeping on!! Dont celebrate your milestones in the unorthodox way!! lol...little humor to make you laugh!! I use to always mess up when I reached a milestone in my recovery!! We have to keep ourselves in check as we make it 24 hours a day!! Seriously, be proud of who you are and never give up! Stand up for whats right and stand against whats not right! You have a lot of people rooting you on and that want to see you make it a better life for you and those around you!! Best of luck to you and God Bless you everyday!!
JD, great to see you getting right back at it.
Use the strength from the past 5 weeks 6 days to motivate you. Don't beat yourself up, but no excuses either. Take a look at what you could have done differently to avoid drinking next time the same situation / feeling arises.
There will always be something, some weakness that our AV will gravitate to and try to convince us it is ok to have a drink... just one drink.
You've proven you can do this. Good to have you back!
