Just wanted everyone to know that I'm still fighting the good fight :)
Trying to get back to some semblance of life ... I still go to meetings a lot and lurk around the forum, but not as active as I was. Life is good ... my oldest son came for a visit last week and it's the first time he's seen me not drinking in decades. I really wanted to sit down and apologize to him for all the wasted years, but seeing me sober was enough ... for now.
To all my sober friends out there ... keep at it! It is worth it in so many ways! I don't NEED to drink ... not today. I keep plugging along, one day at a time. "God, grant me the serenity ... " |
