Campral questions

So, my doctor prescribed me with the drug Campral.

Thoughts on it? Does it work? Anyone have experience/success with it? Good thing, or bad thing?

My wife tried it a few years ago. It seemed to work until she stopped taking it.

I was on it a few years back. It does work for the a period after you stop drinking, keeps the cravings down, as long as you keep up on your other recovery programs. It is expensive if you don't have insurance. I remember it did help me for those first important months of sobriety.

Yea, it worked for those hard months following detox. You still have to work your recovery program also while on it. It's not a miracle drug but it did get me through the rough patch. I only needed to be on it for a couple of months. kind of like taking the training wheels off. It takes some time to get into your system so give it some time. Best wishes.

Worked really well for me before. I have a ton of it on hand but want to detox first as it works so much better when you're clean.

For me it was a calming, soothing balm on my brain. Stick with it as it'll take a few days to build up to it's most effective dose.

So, basically, it works, mostly, by not making you 'crave'? But only after a few days of being clean, and taking it?

And it is best early on?

Anyone else? Anyone know its method of action by chance?
