Hi Everyone,

I'm a 30 year old guy with a wife home and 2 kids. However I'm he'll bent on wrecking my life by going on day long or more benders sniffing 'mkat' or Mephedrone. Not only do I waste money on it but I don't care about anything else at the time apart from getting laid and having promiscuous sex with whoever wants it even though I'm straight.

I've been taking Kat on and of for about 2.5 years. I have recently stopped smoking weed after about ten years. About 5 years ago I had a big problem with cocaine an have also abused alcohol and speed in the past.

I want to stop and will soo for maybe 3 months then something just sets me off and it's like I can't change the outcome. I need to understand why I'm doing this!

I've never done Kat - I identify as an alcoholic - but I remember wanting to understand my addiction so I could quit too.

Turns out it wasn't necessary for me to understand it to stop. Support and making changes in my love to support that stopping helped me stop.

I think for me looking for reasons was a way of putting off actually stopping. It was quite perverse.

Find support, make changes and stop. Read and post as much as you like here.

You'll be far more capable of finding answers after some recovery time, I promise
