I remember on one particularly difficult day of sobriety, someone in this fine SR family said "go ahead...pull the boat right out". Let those dishes lie in the sink and swaddle yourself in your own care. You are "recovering" ya know? It's not called that because it has a nice ring to it : )
Slowly but surely we get stronger and we start to realize we actually dig sobriety...and it's worthy of nurture and protection. We suddenly understand the idea of "by whatever means possible". I like sobriety but that doesn't mean there are moments where I still might want to "check out" of that particular situation, emotion or moment...but we get on through to find the light on the other side.
Storm clouds will come..without a doubt..but they will also go...hopefully, with our sobriety and self esteem...and sanity intact : )
You are on course my friend. So very happy of that.
