Man suffering from D.Ts on TV.
So this paramedic show is on in the background. Wasn't really watching it, but then a guy came on suffering from D.Ts. Obvious symptoms, hallucinations, throwing up blood, shaking. Hearing strange noises.
The guy refused to send him in ambulance until he had a massive seizure stating it wasn't a "medical emergency". He was throwing up blood, 1 count of an emergency and he was going through withdrawals that have a mortality rate of around a third without treatment, so that's 2.
Absolutely shocking that withdrawal still isn't taken seriously by some medical professionals.

Well I think this example probably does not apply to the majority of paramedics.
Throwing up blood is something any paramedic would take seriously. Plus I'm sure a law suit would occur if someone dies and they refused to bring them in to the hospital.
