For me drink always eventually ended up in the (great expression Dee) face plant .
Certainly for me another day drunk would be another glorious day of life wasted we've only got a short time on this planet , a sober life is worthwhile and is nourishing to mind and body.
To my thinking all the money we spend on booze can be a holiday , or a nice car or home , so there is real material benefit to not drinking .
I don't feel lousy for days anymore . I can "be there" for friends and family , drive a car safely so there is a quality of life issue too .
I hope you become more regular here .

Good to see you back cngy. Would rather not have to keep welcoming you back. Would rather be celebrating your accumulating sobriety.
Just one thing that jumps out at me. The one friend who knows? you don't drink? Seems to me that if you continue to drink, no-one is going to know you don't drink.

You guys are all so great. <3 Im just listening to my En Vogue collection (concert I'm going to tomorrow) and eating pretzels sipping Diet Dr P. and I guess I should've said I never drink around this friend. Which will continue tomorrow.
