Hi. No matter what we call it it’s over indulging for our body. In my case I needed outside help at AA as it was the only help for me in town, that was before the internet so I’m as old as dirt.
I was taught that self honesty about my drinking and accepting that I cannot drink alcohol in safety were the first obstacles to overcome. That involves a lot of meetings and a true desire to be sober.
It works if we work it along with other sources like these forums.

Hello and welcome.
I was a binge drinker, too. Along with every other type of drinker you can imagine except moderate.
Before you go on that binge, think it through and what awaits you when the binge ends.
With me it was like crawling out of my skin, anxiety, fear and remorse.
It's great to have you here. You'll find a lot of support here. Best to you.
