Vacation Day 1 - Sober 30 days

We are skipping the welcome cocktail. The good news is we were greeted with water or iced tea. The last resort we went to we were greeted with rum. It's a Club Med, maybe they aren't such a booze factory.

Congrats on your 30 days!

Enjoy the vacation! Booze factory on the left, run to the right! Surely they have activities less booze oriented, go for the kids playground if it helps ;-)

I see people running, playing tennis and etc. I think it is more fitness oriented. We went to Beaches for the past 2 years and that place is very kid-centered and there's a bar in every pool. Booze was everywhere at Beaches, even in our room they had a bar with rum, wine, vodka. It's like they're trying to keep the parents drunk...ok I will keep logging in to keep myself accountable.

I just got back from my first sober vacation, with the family. Staying away from the booze took some work, but it was way worth it. Have a great time, but watch that AV, it's a sneaky bugger when we are new to sobriety and away from home. And congrats on 30!
