And......90!
And......90!
Hello everyone! Well, day 90 came and went, and it was a great day with my family followed by a nice work out. I cannot believe how much I have changed in so little time since I was released from the hospital. I am doing things I never thought I'd be able to do again, and my entire mindset has changed. People around me, even complete strangers seem to notice me, and sometimes I just feel like I am glowing . It's as if all of the insignificant crap that I dwelled on and my thoughts of despair are slipping away with each passing day of sobriety.
A fellow at one of my meetings last week even commented on my changed self, that it was as if my light was finally shining through. I've been carrying that thought, and how it makes me feel, still, is indescribable. I never knew, in 10 years, that sobriety..being completely clean and sober, in body and soul, could feel this way. For the first time since I was 25ish, I am finally living.
I pray everyday to keep honoring this gift, this second chance at life...well, more like a dozen or so chances. Do I still have my gremlins? Yup, they're there, as are some resentments, but they don't seem so important anymore, and thoughts of them seem more like passing clouds.
Thanks for listening, and have a safe, sober evening!
