Day 28, sitting in the dark
Our street lost power. The entire street. Just sitting in the dark with a flashlight. Been over 30 minutes now which is strange.
Went to a religious service tonight, walked in and there were 4 long tables with nothing but open bottles of wine and wine glasses. Really? Even God is punishing me!
I see one lonely bottle of sparkling water. I didn't bother because to reach the sparkling water I would need to reach over open wine bottles.
My husband came up to me with 2 wine glasses filled. He held one out, I said no get it away from me and he said it's sparkling water. Apparently they had no other glasses but wine glasses.
I totally did NOT enjoy drinking water out of a wine glass! Pure torture.
Went to the mall earlier and people thought I was an actress named Missi Pyle. That felt nice because they never would have said that 4 weeks ago.
Ok well sitting in a dark house with no power and a flashlight is getting tiring.
Guess I will go to sleep. Night!

I've just googled Missi Pyle - that's a compliment indeed!
If they'd said that about me, it could only have been during the power cut
I love drinking from my wine glasses! The glasses are just lovely and drinking from them makes me feel all grown up and special - and having pure, healthy soft drinks in them completes the picture
For New Year, we had slimline tonic in champagne flutes. It tasted of freedom!
But I absolutely understand if you didn't want to do it!
