HEllo sobriety and Hello ALL
Hey members of SoberRecovery. Name is Eric, Im of course new here, Also new to sobriety. I never cared for AA thought i would try this, not as a way to quit drinking but for support if/when i need it and to listen to the experiences of others especially about life after BOOZE. That being said I am 9 days sober in the morning it will be 10 and onlt drank 1 time in 14 days.

Thanx all, Especially since today was really the 1st day since i quit that I was tempted not by piers by life stress. Also wanted to say although most recovery attitudes are that you are completely substance free i must admit that i have been taking Clonazepam low does as needed. I was a very heavy drinker and since stepping down off booze was not an option (if i start im not stopping until $ runs out, i pass out or go to jail) being that cold turkey can kill heavy drinkers i chose to take low dose Clonazepam for a short while then ween off them. BUT i did go all day yesterday without any

Hi Eric. There is a daily thread where folks commit to another day. It helps to start your day out with a commitment. Check it out. I'm going there next to commit to THIS day. It is a beautiful day to experience and be sober. YAY!!! So glad you are here bc it takes all of us working together to beat this demon. We need you!
