Oh and I want to be very careful here and very clear- if you are worried or have any doubt, please see your doctor or go to the ER or a detox center. Don't mess around with your health.
Warning out of the way.... I also used the "it's not safe for me to quit" line for a good, long while to make excuses for my drinking. **Again, to be clear, I am not saying yours is an excuse and you may very well require medical attention. I was mildly convinced myself but mostly used it as a way to get people off my back when I wanted to drink.
