It was such a difficult day at work and after work..... honestly i thought about drinking but i didn't.... but boy would a drink sound good right now..... but i know it will make matters worst.... i would end up being hung over, going to work late, not being productive at work, being dehydrated, dizzy, having a headache, anxiety, an having to hide out in the bathroom at work......... all reasons not to drink an go to bed..

Great job - keep it going !

I, like most alcoholics, had to start addressing the way I reacted to stress and situations that made me think of picking up. I know this is the basic lecture, but it is helping me big time ! The only problem was, it took me a very long time to to be able to feel like I could control myself to go this. One of the main reasons that I was able to start practicing this with success was the closure of a 17 year "situation" in my life which was my biggest trigger and source of most of my anxiety.

Hey Toni,

Thank you for the vivid imagery of being at work with a hangover. It was a great reminder to me as that was every day at work. I even stopped drinking coffee completely because something about adding caffeine to a hangover seemed so wrong to me.

Here's to never going to work hungover again! Day 39 here!
