AA on Day 3
 

I went to two AA meetings today and I am sure I can get with the programme.

The first was too big for me, the second much smaller where I fessed up to a relapse on arrival. The welcome back was so good to hear. I am still withdrawing and so started sweating and shaking during the meeting and went for some fresh air with a couple of members who I now have numbers - a great addition for my tools.

Only trouble is the frickin AV has started! It's telling me by Friday physical withdrawal will have stopped and that I embarrassed myself in other folks meeting by showing my symptoms and made people recovering leave with me Best pick up at the weekend! I have no intention of picking up today btw.

I just wanted to know what any AA guys think when they see a newcomer like this? Try and help me knock this AV on the head tonight here guys...aaaargh

most of us have been there and there is great empathy involved. keep talking to people
