Perhaps God the great Mister Geppetto, is saying you need to stay put for a little longer.

I'm glad you & the hubs and your pets and house are ok and sober. You'll get through this!

Where is your faith lil one?

Earthquakes, fires, tornadoes mud slides.
You can't let fear and what if dictate your serenity.

Say a prayer and believe

Raider, So sorry that this happened to you and your neighbors. What does your real estate agent say? Honestly people do have short memories and people understand that catastrophies like this are very rare. It might not have too much of an impact on you. Best of luck and stay strong.

I'm sorry you are facing disappointment but I'm kinda leaning towards the same thoughts as Imperfectly Me. You were praying on a sign..and well, gosh..this is a pretty dramatic move of ole Mother Nature. Perhaps it truly isn't the right time for making a move. It won't take long before this will fade from memory. I guess when we pray for signs...we have to remain open to what that sign is. Kinda seems like you were looking for more of a blessing on the decision to move right now?

Saw this on the evening news. Wow. The weather has been so crazy this year....such a worry. I'm glad you're safe and sober.

Yeah that's pretty bad when you are trying to sell your nearby house. But at least it wasn't your house! So that's a good sign...maybe you have better earth beneath your house...your house was not affected, so that's a great sign. Don't drink! It will only make matters worse. The elliptical is a much better and wiser choice.

So sorry, Raider. I agree the timing of this could not be worse for you. Can you see the damage from your house? I work in real estate. This is a tough one. Could you hold off and sell come the Spring Market in mid-March/early April? I think that would be ample time for people to forget and to clean up the current mess.

Wow, Raider hate saying sorry ( its cliche and over used), life throws lemons, make lemonade friend. Sick, sad, and awful, but the mere fact you posted this tell me you won't drink and are coming to terms. I am proud of you, move on and upward friend.

I can't believe the story of this slide was on the national news. Isn't there something else more important??? I did do the elyptical until I could breath. Logic tells me it's not so horrible to stay in the Burgerosa for the next six months. I should be good with that. I should be. What's not to love about the north salt lake house? I love that house........so why do I feel absolutely deflated? I don't know.

Well here is the plan (I can't deal with life without one). We will still pack up and move out of the Utah house while it's listed. I will consider this a fun vacation at the cabin. I will go to the Shelton fair. I will go to the Oysterfest celebration and have fun. I will drive to Allyn and have a giant burger at Bubbas Big Burgwr. I will not bitch every moment of every day because it is cramped.

I will return to Utah by thanksgiving if it has not sold.

I will stop crying over this.

Love ya guys.
